1.   Install 2000 Server Software 2.   Install of 2000 Website **If configuring many sites on same server** open IIS -right click server name-make sure "WWW.Service" is highlighted in"properties"  
  • create a folder for each site on F:\ drive
    •  
  • open IIS
    •  
  • right click web hosting computer
    •  
  • click new
  • enter name of site
  • enter Ip address
  • enter Host Header& (under Home Directory)make sure script permissions are read,run,write
  • browse to F:\dive
  • finish


    • 3. Modify Web Site Properties
  • check Ip address & TCP/IP Port
  • click"advanced" add "www".record
  • go back to "home directory tab" make sure Read and Write are checked
  • using"configuration"button open "Extension Mapping"
  • add ".xml" and ".html" w/ GET,HEAD,POST,TRACE" only
  • go back to app.config panel-open App.Debug tab-turn on client-sside debug
  • go back to website properties panel-
  • go to Home tab- "delete "default .htm" & "default.asp" entries
  • add "index.html"
  • open Directory Security click "edit"-check "anonymous access"
  • **uncheck "basic Authen" & "Integrated Win Authen."
