When using Winzip make absolutely sure that there are no pre-existing instances of skyNT97.zip, skyNT97.exe, sky2000.zip, or sky2000.exe files on the network of which your copy of Winzip is aware. If Winzip thinks it has information about pre-existing zip files, even when you create new archives it tries to stuff them with files listed in same named archives.
How to Zip and distribute timeLines to download sites
Work from the skyNT97 or sky2000 folders on \\skySpec2\G\Distributions
Open WinZip
Make a New archive by clicking the New button.
Add all the files from skyNT97, for example, by browsing to \\skySpec2\G\Distributions\skyNT97, and clicking the Add with wildcards button (with Include subfolders checked).
All the files are listed.
Running WinZip creates, e.g., skyNT97.zip.
From the Actions menu, choose Make.exe. Make.exe converts skyNT97.zip into a self-extracting file, e.g., skyNT97.exe, which can be downloaded and installed.
Suggest a folder (in the web site) where the skyNT97.exe will self extract. Be sure to uncheck the Overwrite by default checkbox to insure that the user will be prompted for file overwriting.
Now use WS_FTP Pro to transfer the files to our ftp download sites (Interland, Galaxy).
Download the files, extract them and test in some safe place.
[We also need to zip the ReadMe.html and some Sample files, which need debugging.]
